  • The most useful option is to scan the whole PC immediately and perform all the fixes and repairs automatically. You need to use this command to do so and then hit enter.


sfc /scannow


CMD scan

This command will search for all the corrupted and broken files throughout your computer and all the unnecessary changes made to any of the software and will fix them immediately.


  • You can also use another command to only know the corrupted files in your computer but not to fix them. This command will not perform any automatic repairs. You can do this with the following command.


sfc /verifyonly


How to Automatically fix corrupt and broken files (Using CMD)



  • There's a one more command which you can use if you just want to scan or verify corrupted files into a particular folder of your computer.

sfc /scanfile=<file>



sfc/verifyfile=<file>

You just need to replace <file> with the path of file you need to scan to fix your corrupted files.

EXAMPLE:

sfc /scanfile=c:\windows\system32\path.dll


If any of command is not working in your computer this may be due your old window version. But don't worry, just type sfc /? to get all the information of all the available commands under your version.
